Robbery of the Bank of America

The FBI and the Norristown Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the armed robbery of the Bank of America branch located at 1000 Sandy Hill Road, Norristown, PA earlier today.

At approximately 11:10 a.m., the subject entered the branch and approached a teller. The subject displayed a handgun to the teller, and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot, and was last seen running through the parking lot. The subject is described as a black male, early to mid 30’s, 5’9” tall, thin build, with a dark complexion and a mustache, wearing a zippered black hooded sweatshirt, dark baseball cap, black gloves, blue jeans, and dark colored sneakers.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Anyone with information is asked to call the Norristown Police Department at 610-270-0977 or the FBI. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
