Robbery of the PNC Bank

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public's assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the PNC Bank branch located at 400 Market Street in Philadelphia earlier today.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., an unidentified male entered the branch and made a threatening demand to a teller. The subject is described as a white male, in his mid 50’s, 5'8” to 5’9” tall, medium build, wearing a black “Phillies” logo baseball cap, large sunglasses, and a blue denim long-sleeved button-down shirt over a white t-shirt. The subject was also wearing a watch on his left wrist, and appeared to walk with a limp.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject was seen entering a taxi-cab at 4th and Market that headed westbound on Market and then turned northbound on 5th Street. There were no injuries.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
