Wachovia Bank Robbery
The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public's assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the armed robbery of the Wachovia Bank branch located at 6420 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia earlier today.
At approximately 10:25 AM, an unidentified male entered the branch armed with a black-colored hand gun and jumped over the teller counter of the bank. During the robbery, the subject struck a customer in the head with the handgun, injuring the customer. The subject is described as a black male, 20 to 23 years of age, 5'7 to 5'8" tall, 140 to 160 pounds, small to medium build, medium complexion, clean shaven, wearing a black t-shirt, green or khaki long shorts, a black baseball cap with a "superman" logo on the front, and black sneakers.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, which the subject placed into a green camoflage pillowcase, the subject fled on foot through the west doors of the branch onto Hellerman Street in an unknown direction.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
