Seeking the Public’s Assistance to Locate Fugitive Brian Leatherbury
The Philadelphia Division of the FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public's assistance to locate Federal fugitive Brian Leatherbury, who was indicted along with Candido Rodriguez by a Federal Grand Jury in the Eastern District of Pennsylania on February 29, 2009, and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Carrying and Using a Firearm During a Crime of Violence, Interference with Interstate Commerce by Robbery, and Conspiracy. Rodriguez is already in custody.
Leatherbury and Rodriguez are charged with the armed robbery of the L'Amour Nails Store, 7055 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA on December 5, 2008. During the robbery, according to the indictment, Rodriguez blocked the door of the business to prevent anyone from fleeing, while Leatherbury pushed two women to the floor and struck another person with a table. $304 was taken during the robbery.
Leatherbury is described as a white male, 20 years old, 5'8" tall, 145 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes, and a tattoo that reads "LORREN 1961-2006" on his left forearm. A picture of Leatherbury is below.
Leatherbury was last known to be living in an apartment at 71 Lakeland Road in Blackwood, NJ. He is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or their local police department.
