Seeking Public Assistance in Philadelphia Credit Union Robbery
The Philadelphia Division of the FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public's assistance to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for the robbery of the Philadelphia Credit Union branch located at 1755 North 13th Street, Philadelphia, on 12/9/2008 at approximately 4:35 p.m.
The subject, described as a black male, 55 to 65 years of age, light complexion, mustache, wearing a green knit cap, wire-rimmed glasses, a tan "varsity" jacket with stripes on the collar and sleeves, and a bandage or tape on the bridge of his nose, entered the credit union and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled in an unknown direction.
Two photographs from the credit union's surveillance camera system are below. This subject should be considered armed and dangerous. There is no information at this time linking this subject to other unsolved bank robberies in the Philadelphia area.
