"Hard Headed Bandit" Robs Citizens Bank

The FBI is requesting the assistance of the public to identify the individual alleged to be responsible for the robbery of the Citizens Bank located at 3514 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square, PA, on Monday, August 25, 2008 at approximately 1:30 p.m.

The subject is described as a white male, approximately 35 to 40 years old and 5'8" to 5'10" tall with a stocky or heavy build. He had brown hair and was clean shaven. The robber has been nick-named the "Hard Headed Bandit" because of the white construction hat he had on his head. He also wore a dark navy blue short sleeve jumpsuit with a red emblem on the left pocket area and dark sunglasses. He was carrying a dimpled silver metal brief case.

The robber entered the bank, approached the teller counter and presented a demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the bank and was seen running through a nearby retirement community. There were no injuries.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery should contact the FBI Newtown Square Resident Agency at (610) 353-4500.
