Tennessee Man Charged with Perjury

A Gatlinburg, Tennessee man, Greg Hruby, was charged today, by information, with perjury before the federal grand jury, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy. According to the information, on or about March 8, 2007, while under oath in a proceeding before a federal grand jury of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the defendant knowingly made false declarations in response to questions asked to him with respect to matters that were material to the grand jury.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of five years' imprisonment,
a $250,000 fine, three years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted
by Assistant United States Attorney Joe Khan.
