Pension Planning Executive Indicted
United States Attorney Michael L. Levy today announced the filing of an Indictment against
Charleen Ryan, charging that she knowingly made false statements on an annual report regarding
the assets of an employee benefit plan she was servicing. Ryan owned Philadelphia Pension
Planning Corporation (“PPPC”), which was in the business of providing services for retirement plans
for its clients. One of PPPC’s clients was Bustleton Landscaping Co. The indictment charges that
Ryan falsely represented in an annual report for Bustleton Landscaping’s employee benefit plan that
it had over $797,000 in assets in the beginning of 2003, when it had significantly less than that
amount due to losses that Ryan was knowingly concealing.
