West Chester Man Charged in Investment Scheme
PHILADELPHIA—United States Attorney Laurie Magid today announced the unsealing of
a criminal complaint against Peter Edward Aleszczyk, a/k/a “Peter Alex”, charging mail fraud and
wire fraud in an investment scheme that resulted in losses of at least $500,000. Aleszczyk was
arrested this morning.
Aleszczyk owned and operated his own employment consulting and recruiting company,
called KP Consulting, located in Exton, Pennsylvania. According to the complaint, between
September 30, 2008 and February 11, 2009, Aleszczyk solicited a New Jersey company to enter into
a business relationship with the purpose of having KP Consulting place eligible candidates in
temporary positions within the pharmaceutical industry. Aleszczyk asked the New Jersey company
for $560,629.76 to fund the payroll of the temporary employees he placed. The complaint alleges
Aleszczyk never placed any of the employees for whom the New Jersey company had paid.
